I've always seen the Union Force as the seasonnaire's binding. When you do a season, you want something that a) doesn't cost a fortune b) can take the punishment of riding everyday and getting thrown down outside the bar; and c) will easily last into your inevitable second season (because nobody can just do one). The Force, for me, ticks all those boxes. And what's more, they're able to do all this while remaining lightweight, comfortable, and stiff enough for all-mountain but soft enough for the park.

The L/XL Asadachi will fit boots UK size 8.5-13.
Japanese for... well, I'll let you find that one out for yourself; the Asadachis are made from recyclable materials and have a wooden effect that reminds me of a 1970s kitchen counter top. But don't let that put you off - the Asadachis feature Union's asymetrical highback (because both your legs aren't exactly the same), extruded annodised aluminium heelcups and a Stage II lifetime warranty base - this is a high-end set of bindings.
